Based in Gaborone and established in 2010, ADP Kukama provides local, in-country engineering and project management services to our projects in Botswana.

These services are predominantly diamond processing for clients such as Debswana and Lucara.

Through parent company, Lycopodium, services are also provided across other commodities, including copper.

OUR SERVICES

ADP Kukama, with appropriate specialised support from the ADP, provides metallurgical and comminution consulting, mineral processing, construction management, project management and asset management services to its clients.

Our services are delivered using the robust systems and processes of ADP, modified as necessary to meet specific local requirements in Botswana.

We have a highly skilled and experienced team of people with expertise in process engineering, mechanical engineering, electrical engineering, process control and instrumentation engineering, civil and structural engineering, procurement, cost control, estimation and scheduling and Health, Safety and Environment (HSE).

Citizen Economic Empowerment (CEE)

ADP Kukama procures where possible as many locally available services from registered providers of goods and services within Botswana, and preferably with good citizen credentials, to support the economic growth and development of the country.  Presently, 100% of our staff are Motswana (citizens of Botswana).

We fully support Citizen Economic Empowerment (CEE) and endeavour to abide by the guidelines as contained in the Republic of Botswana Government Paper No. 1 of 2012, The Citizen Economic Empowerment Policy.

In this regard ADP Kukama has produced a Charter and a scorecard to manage and meet the objectives of this important initiative.

 

Furthermore, we acknowledge that key clients (such as Debswana) have their own CEE policies and objectives, and therefore we commit to playing an active role in the achievement of their CEE Programmes (CEEP) and where required and practical, to abiding by the requirements as described in these policies.

The Charter outlines the current and planned initiatives to support our CEE objectives, including part citizen ownership, improving citizen competencies, and support for local procurement. ADP Kukama intends, through these initiatives, to actively participate in the economic growth and development of the country.

These initiatives are a guideline and foundation for the development of implementation plans, complete with Key Performance Indicators (KPI’s), to measure progress and success in this regard.
