Lycopodium Minerals Namibia provides comprehensive engineering and project support services through our group in-house design teams, serving clients both locally and internationally.

 

INTRODUCTION

Our Africa hub has been operational since 1997, and we have been delivering complex projects throughout Namibia since 2005.

The 2014 acquisition by Australian-based engineering company, Lycopodium, significantly increased our capability and diversity, enabling our evolution from a leading modular and diamond projects organisation to an integrated projects and mineral processing engineering and EPCM company, with specialised capability in modular design and digital process solutions using dynamic simulation software and advanced digital engineering technology.

Lycopodium’s ‘Africa Hub’ subsidiary companies operate out of Botswana, Mozambique, Namibia and South Africa.

Lycopodium Minerals Namibia (Pty) Ltd, formerly ADP Namibia, has operations across a diverse range of sectors including diamond, gold, uranium, tin, iron ore, base metals, and marine industries. 

Our clients include Rössing Uranium, Osino Resources – Twin Hills Gold Project, Namdeb (a De Beers Group company), Orano – Trekkopje, Paladin – Langer Heinrich Uranium Mine, DebMarine, Dundee Precious Metals – Tsumeb, Loadstone – Dordabis, Andrada Mining (formerly Afritin Mining) – UIS Mine and QKR Namibia – Navachab Gold Plant.

A further strategic growth initiative is the recent joint venture of Lycopodium Minerals Namibia and Piacentini & Son (Australia), LPN Dry Mining Services.

Our Services

Lycopodium Minerals Namibia delivers integrated engineering, project management, and equipment supply services with a strong focus on mineral processing plants, beach mining, and dredging operations. Our multidisciplinary group-wide team brings deep expertise across key engineering disciplines, including:

  • Engineering – process; civil & structural; mechanical; electrical, process control & instrumentation.
  • Procurement & logistics; cost control; estimation & scheduling.
  • Construction management.
  • Health, safety & environment (HSE).

We perform our services under our ISO 45001 accredited occupational health and safety management system. In addition to our consulting and engineering services, we offer the supply of spare parts, as well as comprehensive logistical support. Our strategic presence in Namibia includes offices in Swakopmund and Oranjemund (diamond mining region), ensuring responsive and efficient support across all project locations.

We are also an active member of the Chamber of Mines.

Community Upliftment

Lycopodium Minerals Namibia engages with the community and offers opportunities to all local Namibians who wish to pursue a career in the mining sector. Our relationship with the Namibian University of Science and Technology (NUST) allows us to offer internships and guided career paths to graduates within the country. We believe safety and wellbeing is essential in the communities in which we operate, and we continue to support several sanctioned sports and safety days.

One of our community upliftment projects was for the Karibib Private School (KPS) infrastructure and renovation project, including renovations of the children’s play area which had been zoned off as a high-risk area. 

Additionally, we also support the local community with sponsorships and donations for various worthy causes.

We believe the time is now right for our presence in Africa to operate fully under the Lycopodium banner. Lycopodium acquired a majority interest in ADP Holdings in 2014, securing the balance in 2019. The relationship has grown steadily over the past decade, with the decision to rebrand reflecting the culmination of this journey. Our historical content and offerings are available for viewing on this platform and we will be transitioning over to www.lycopodium.com over the coming months. Once the full transition has taken effect, the ADP Group of Companies website will be retired (future date to be advised).
