Treatment Plant (dry mining & DMS) – Sendelingsdrif

The Sendelingsdrif Treatment Plant was designed to treat 800 tph of head feed from seven separate alluvial mining zones.  

All on-mine infrastructure had to be provided to cater for all necessary support services, including water, power, earthmoving and treatment maintenance facilities, administration buildings. 

The construction period included 2 x summer periods where temperatures regularly exceed 50 degrees centigrade. ¾ Million injury free man-hours was a major achievement on this project.

The scope included: degrit and thickening mine workshop, de-sanding feed conveyor, de-sanding surge, DMS feed-conveyor, dry-mining screening plant, dry-sizing and front-end, front-end tip and 800 tph trommel screen, fuel bay, full plant, gabion wall, live stockpile feed and extraction conveyor, mixed tail conveyor, mixed tails spreader, offices, raw process and portable water tanks, thickener, wash-bay, wet-sizing and degrit.
