Namdeb approached ADP to investigate process solutions which could increase the process capacity within Southern Coastal Mines, in order to accommodate the increase in mining scale as part of a Life of Mine extension project.
The main objective of the Alternative Feed Stream (AFS) study was to investigate different technologies and flowsheets that could be implemented to treat up to 300 tph additional ROM material, with a secondary focus on the removal of clay, shell and other light contaminants.
The final selected concept incorporates a newly designed stand-alone front-end and scrubbing module specifically designed to efficiently handle clay-rich feed that can be integrated seamlessly into the existing No. 3 Plant process flow with limited interfaces.
Progress photographs as at June 2023 and we celebrated with the AFS site construction team on achieving 150 000 lost time injury free manhours.
