ADP’s Evolution to Lycopodium

ADP is a long-standing and highly respected business that has operated across Africa for almost three decades. In June 2025, the decision was made to rebrand ADP’s operating entities, including ADP Holdings, ADP Marine & Modular, ADP Namibia, ADP Kukama, ADP Mozambique and Kholo Marine and Minerals, to Lycopodium.

Lycopodium is an Australian headquartered engineering and project delivery organisation that acquired a majority interest in ADP Holdings in 2014, securing the balance in 2019. Based on the underlying philosophy of allowing ADP to integrate organically into the Lycopodium business, the relationship has grown steadily over the past decade, with the decision to rebrand reflecting the culmination of this journey.

“Having been part of Lycopodium for the past 10 years, we believed the time was now right for our presence in Africa to operate under the Company banner,” said Lycopodium Africa’s Managing Director, Toby Lambooy.

Aside from the name change, it’s business as usual for the team in Africa.

“We are a world leader in the design, development and implementation of customised and innovative solutions for mineral processing plants, shallow water mining systems, dry mining systems, walking jack-up platforms and dredging. Over the years, being part of Lycopodium has only served to strengthen this position, broadening our access to a global network of expertise and providing us with the resources to continue to grow the business here in Africa,” said Mr Lambooy.

The ability to collaborate on projects globally across the organisation has most recently seen the Company awarded the Engineering, Procurement and Construction Management (EPCM) Services contract for the development of Osino Resources’ Twin Hills Gold Project in Namibia. This significant project, which includes the engineering, design, procurement, construction management and commissioning of the 5 Mtpa conventional Carbon-in-Leach (CIL) processing plant and associated non-process infrastructure, is being delivered by the African team in collaboration with Lycopodium’s Americas team based in Toronto.

With the capability to deliver projects around the world, Lycopodium has offices in Australia, Canada, USA, Argentina, Brazil, Peru, South Africa, Namibia, Botswana, Ghana and the Philippines. In Africa, this includes offices in Cape Town, Oranjemund, Swakopmund, Windhoek, Gaborone and Accra.
