Karowe Diamond Mine – XRT Tailings Audit Plant

The Karowe Diamond Mine, is a state-of-the-art open pit mine which was fully commissioned in Q2 2012. In 2021, Lucara Diamond secured $220 million to take the mine underground.
Karowe, is a large-scale operating mine and is one of the world’s foremost producers of large, high quality, Type IIA diamonds more than 10.8 carats. Hard rock – open pit – Mine plan to depth of 324 m.
Status – Mine development and production.
Mine life – Open pit operations to 2026 with underground commencing in Q1 2028.
Lycopodium project managed and provided engineering and procurement with ADP Kukama providing construction management services during the period July 2017 to 28 February 2018.
