MB 200 Front End

This twin scrubber screen pre-treatment combination was developed to treat problematic high clay type alluvial gravels.  The nominal plant capacity is 200 tphr but may vary based on an ores scrubbing requirements. Field tests on high clay ore have exceeded this capacity.

PROCESS DESCRIPTION: 

A Front End Loader feeds the plant feed bin with Run of Mine (ROM).  The feed material is the discharged  onto a vibrating grizzly which separates large +150 mm size gravel for stockpiling and discharges  undersize material (+0-/ 150 mm) into a primary scrubber.  The material is scrubbed and discharged via a double trommel which removes some of the fines and deposits them directly into the underpan of the primary screen. The trommel discharges onto the double deck primary screen which separates out undersize for effluent discharge.  Both the top deck and bottom deck oversize material is sent via a conveyor to the secondary scrubber where additional water is added and the material is re-scrubbed.

The secondary scrubber is also fitted with a trommel at its discharge for additional screening of the fine material which deposits into the secondary screen underpan.   trommel oversize material discharges onto the double deck secondary vibrating screen for final screening. Screen undersize falls into the secondary screen underpan for gravity disposal or pumping to the designated effluent area.  The top deck oversize material and bottom deck oversize are deposited onto separate conveyors to be moved to their respective stockpiles.

MAIN EQUIPMENT: 

  • Tipping bin c/w support structure, bin liners, monitor gun stations, flushing water header and access walkway.
  • Grizzly feeder, feeder pan, high-pressure spray bar and out-of-balance motors.
  • Monitor gun booster pump c/w suction and discharge piping and pressure gauge.
  • Two monitor guns.
  • Primary scrubber feed launder with replaceable liners.
  • Scrubber, girth gear driven c/w base, drive assembly, liners and discharge trommel.
  • Double deck sizing screen c/w support structure, under pan and discharge chutes.
  • Effluent piping consisting of HDPE piping FBE c/w bolts & nuts.
  • Oversize transfer conveyors c/w walkway and trip wire switch one side only.
  • Secondary scrubber feed launder with replaceable liners.
  • Scrubber girth gear driven c/w base, drive assembly, liners and discharge trommel.
  • Double deck sizing screen c/w support structure, under pan and discharge chutes.
  • Oversize and gravel transfer conveyors c/w walkway and trip wire switch one side only.  The longer belt length can be included to improve the stockpile holding capacity.
  • Plant MCC and control room container c/w access door, cable entry and exit points, MCC, lighting DB and 220V power socket outlet.
  • All plant electrical reticulation requirements c/w field emergency stops, interlocking, cabling, racking, light fittings and startup alarm siren.
  • All plant water piping requirements c/w valves, flexible hoses, washing points, spray nozzles and steel piping.

INSTRUMENTATION: 

  • Pressure gauge.

AUXILIARIES: 

  • Skid mounted water supply package c/w suction strainer, floating platform, suction hose, priming tundish, water pump, electric motor, discharge hose, HDPE pipe, cabling from generator DB to the pump, as well as a star-delta starter panel.
  • Generator package c/w 6-meter container, generator set, fuel tank, DB, air intake and exhausts vents, lighting and access door.
  • Spares package and consumables consisting of critical spares, operating spares and consumables for one year of operation in accordance with the allocated spares budget.
  • Effluent pump c/w electric motor and drive equipment and piping.
